The "Indian" apartheid

Very true.

Being from the North myself, I can very much relate to what the author of this article is trying to say. When it comes to fair skin, people do not have merely a liking or a preference, they have an obsession !!!

How does it really matter at the end of the day?????

I disagree, dark skinned people are superior to light skinned ones..;-))))))))

Venkat,

This is silly engaging in who's "superior" and who's not. To paraphrase Dr ML King -- do not judge a man by the colour of his skin but by the content of his character.

Peace, brother.

I was just kidding Sriraj.., I agree with you..

I have been constantly reminded by the author of this blog of my dark skin and the fairer ones are the more good looking, so it was pleasantly suprising to see Rajni write this..:-)))

jus kiddin : Rajni's not racial..

This is very common across the globe.

Rajni,
>>> How does it really matter at the end of the day?????

What is "it" here? If you are trying to say one's color doesn't matter - then, yes. That's the puzzling part - isn't it?

If you are trying to say being discriminated doesn't matter - I don't quite agree. (It doesn't matter to me, but it does matter in general - this is my opinion).

Venkat,
We have discussed this enough I guess :))). And THANKS for not calling me a racist. I am pleasantly suprised :))

Sriraj,
If you are not quite getting it, racism is one of the topics of our "friendly" fights :)

~a,

I was referring to the former and not the latter part of your comment.
